
AMAL Sarawak, 07 Jamadil Akhir 1431H: Alhamdulillah. Amal Foundation of Malaysia (AMAL) Sarawak Branch had participated in a Workshop on Strategies For Improving Da’wah Effectiveness on 7-9 May 2010 (22-24 Jamadil Awwal 1431H) organized by Islamic Information Center (www.sarawakiic.org.my) held at Pusat Latihan Sarawak JAKIM, Telaga Air, Kuching, Sarawak.
The 3-days workshop which was attended by representatives from Islamic Information Center (IIC), Yayasan Dakwah Islam Malaysia (YADIM), Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association (MACMA), Harakah Islamiah Sarawak (HIKMAH), Urusetia Saudara Kita (USK) and Yayasan Amal Malaysia/ Amal Foundation of Malaysia (AMAL) was facilitated by Tuan Haji Mohd Adam Mohd Said, Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for MCMC Sd. Bhd., Irshad HR Consulting Sdn Bhd, Sage Consulting Sdn Bhd, MRCB Multimedia Consortium Sdn Bhd.
Among the Workshop Objectives are:
1. To provide a platform for Muslim intellectuals and professionals to discuss, deliberate and explore issues and concerns that impact the community,
2. To be engaged in strategic partnerships with other institutions, Islamic Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and knowledge centers at the state, national and global level.
Various issues were discussed throughout the program which include defining core purpose, vision and mission, defining business goals – strategic planning, SWOT analysis and comprehensive collaboration between NGOs in ensuring the success of da’wah in Sarawak particularly and Malaysia at large.
